This improves the process by avoiding the need for further manual input due to disagreements, as any missing content require manual input, which is prone to further errors.
OOCL Logistics' EDI capabilities comply with both EDI and EDIFACT standards popular amongst buyers and service providers worldwide. Information may flow to, or emanate from ocean carriers, carrier portals, warehouses, brokers, forwarders, importers, customers or any service providers in need of or able to send information.
OOCL Logistics can accommodate EDI either as a standard transaction or as a proprietary file. Proprietary files may come in the form of a database (Microsoft Access™ or Excel™ spreadsheets, etc.) or other formats. The information is downloaded to our system, which will then be made available to our customers through OOCL Logistics' information systems.
