OOCL Logistics (OLL) is proud to announce that as of Dec 1, 2006, 60% of its global customers are using our new e-Doc services. This efficient and automated service is powered by OOCL Logistics’ e-Doc function, which is one part of OLL’s new, state-of-the-art OOCL Logistics Podium System Suite.

The conventional method of sending the commercial documents to buyers from vendors was by physically collecting paper documents, quality-checking these papers for accuracy and completeness, then pouching (mailing/couriering) them to the buyers’ designated parties, which included designated Customs house brokers for Customs clearance.

OLL’s innovative solutions devised a service that manages the entire documentation process via the latest web based and imaging technology, according to individual customer’s specifications and needs. OLL customers now enjoy faster delivery, better and more consistent quality checks, and most importantly: a better and faster recovery process in case of mishaps.

Moreover, the e-documents are available on the server for retrieval, subject to our customer’s demand. OLL will continue to roll-out services and aims to offer e-Doc services to all customers for use at their request. The e-Doc service will be a standard feature available to all new OLL customers and will be available at their request as part of the OOCL Logistics Podium System Suite.
