OOCL Logistics would like to inform our customers that parts of the German-based company Arcandor AG (Karstadt Warenhaus GmbH, Quelle GmbH) filed for insolvency on June 9, 2009. Arcandor is an operator of Germany’s leading home-shopping and department store businesses. A court in Germany has appointed a preliminary insolvency administrator to help manage the company’s future.

Arcandor AG (Karstadt Warenhaus GmbH, Quelle GmbH) will continue its operations, meaning stores will be open and merchandise will be sold in catalogues and in the internet.

OOCL Logistics would like to assure our customers and all Arcandor vendors that we are still accepting bookings and shipments as usual. We will do our utmost to assist all vendors as necessary, should they wish to retrieve their cargo.
