Customs Declarant
Rotterdam │ Fulltime│ MBO+/HBO
In the role of Customs Declarant, you are the contact person for customers regarding all
customs matters and you are responsible for the complete administrative handling of
customs documentation. As a Customs Declarant, you prepare and check customs
documents for both incoming and outgoing shipments.
Your profile and responsibilities:
- Managing and controlling all customs documentation.
- Maintaining contacts with internal and external stakeholders such as Customs Offices,
inspection agencies, and customers.
- Submitting objections, adjustments and corrections, and timely requesting refunds.
- Gathering necessary information for the correct preparation of customs documentation.
- Checking the accuracy of obtained data and identifying irregularities in the area of
customs.
- Performing required actions for tax representation, including preparing VAT returns and
processing statistical data.
Your profile:
- Demonstrable mbo+ work and thinking level and you hold the professional diploma of
Declarant.
- You have proven experience in a similar role as Declarant.
- You are experienced with customs documentation and laws and regulations.
- You have a strong drive, are focused on customer satisfaction, possess excellent
communication skills in both Dutch and English, and are known for your reliability in
keeping commitments with customers.
- Having knowledge of the German and/or French language is considered a valuable
addition.
